Columbus, OH — Today, Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther’s campaign for reelection is honored to announce another critical endorsement. The Columbus/Central Ohio Building & Construction Trades Council, representing 19 of the region’s local trade unions and district councils responsible for skilled craftsmanship across Columbus officially announced their support for the Mayor, believing in his continued leadership and in Columbus as America’s Opportunity City.

“Columbus is literally building from the ground up on a daily basis, and this hard work simply is not possible without the hardworking men and women that make up the Columbus/Central Ohio Building & Construction Trades Council’s skilled workforce. Mayor Ginther is honored by the council’s continued support and looks forward to deepening Columbus’s connection to skilled labor as he works around the clock to further improve America’s Opportunity City by investing in its neighborhoods and people,” said Ginther campaign spokesperson Cameron Keir.

About Columbus/Central Ohio Building & Construction Trades Council: The Columbus/Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council was established on June 1, 1961, and since then has provided over 50 years of skilled union craftsmanship to the greater Columbus area. Today, they represent more than 18,000 workers from 19 affiliated Local unions and District Councils. The organization works to harmoniously promote the region’s construction trades, to protect the interest of the union construction industry and to advocate for a healthy labor-management relationship between employers and employees in the building and construction industry. The Council believes in providing its members with strong leadership, negotiating skills and a powerful political voice that is taken to the bargaining table to provide the construction industry with solid representation and labor agreements to preserve measures such as Prevailing Wage, Project Labor Agreements and other issues.
