Columbus, OH — Today, Columbus Mayor Andrew J. Ginther’s campaign for reelection is honored to announce another crucial endorsement from organized labor. The Communication Workers of America (CWA) Local 4502 officially endorsed Mayor Ginther for reelection this fall to his third term leading America’s Opportunity City. 

One of the most diverse unions in the nation, the CWA represents skilled laborers across numerous industries from communications and television to airlines, public service workers, health care laborers and more. In Columbus, CWA Local 4502 represents over 1,600 skilled City of Columbus workers. The union is also an active partner on issues critical to Mayor Ginther and Columbus voters including the defeat of August’s State Issue 1 that would have ended one person, one vote in Ohio. 

“Numerous city services our neighbors depend on each and every day would not be possible without the hard work of the men and women represented by CWA Local 4502, a true partner in improving Columbus, our region and our workforce. Mayor Ginther is honored by CWA’s endorsement and continued support for his campaign that cements the Mayor as a true partner for organized labor in Columbus and across Ohio. The CWA joins a growing list of major decision makers, labor unions and organizations endorsing the Mayor’s continued leadership, encouraging members to reelect Mayor Ginther on November 7th,” said Ginther campaign spokesperson Cameron Keir.
