The Columbus Dispatch has endorsed Ginther for Mayor, saying, “For experience of city governance, Ginther is the superior choice by far.”

The Dispatch also states,

“Ginther’s 15 years of public service on the Columbus Board of Education and on Columbus City Council have given him the experience, the knowledge and the ability to ensure that Columbus remains one of the most vibrant and well-managed cities in the nation.”

Regarding Ginther’s opponent, the Dispatch says,

“Franklin County Sheriff Zach Scott has serious drawbacks. Primarily, his lack of experience… As sheriff, his approach to staffing and budget issues has been simply to demand more money. This doesn’t bode well for his ability to creatively balance the many demands made on finite city resources. The mayor’s office is not the place for on-the-job training in municipal management.”
