With just 18 days until Election Day, we’re continuing to add bipartisan support in our campaign for mayor!
Dorothy Teater has joined Mayor Mike Coleman endorsing Andy Ginther for mayor. Teater was the Republican candidate for mayor in 1999, running opposite Mayor Mike Coleman.
Other long-time Columbus Republican leaders joined a bipartisan group of current and former elected officials standing with Andy Ginther for mayor today.
“We must have an experienced leader leading our city,” said Teater, who was the 1999 Republican nominee for Columbus Mayor. She also served as a Franklin County Commissioner and Columbus City Councilwoman. “Andy Ginther has played an instrumental role over the past decade building Columbus into one of the strongest cities in America, creating and retaining thousands of good-paying jobs. He’s prepared to lead us through the next decade and beyond.”
Ginther was also endorsed by former Republican state representatives EJ Thomas and Dave Robinson, and former Columbus Board of Education members David Dobos and Jeff Cabot.
Andy Ginther had this to say about the endorsements, “I am honored to have the strong endorsements of Mayor Coleman and Dorothy Teater, the 1999 Republican mayoral candidate. I am a proud Democrat, but I understand there’s no Republican or Democratic way to pick up the trash or fill a pothole. I will be a mayor for every person in every neighborhood.”
Our momentum is growing, but it’s your support that will help us win on November 3rd. Whether you volunteer to phonebank, canvass, or deliver yard signs, I hope you’ll join Team Ginther today!
